Matrix engineers succeeded in real-time with KnitQuest, a powerful combination of Knit Monitoring (MKMS), Automated Production Scheduling, and Business and Production Intelligence.
Our knit monitoring component is defined as MKMS-F1000, the Matrix Knit Monitoring/Management System. Infrared Fabric Defect Scanning and Controlled Yarn Rate Monitoring, communicate with our terminally mounted F-1000 Monitor/Controllers. Extensive collected data is analyzed with our PC based MKMS software, providing you with real-time displays of production efficiencies across the entire plant floor, with drill down capabilities to individual machines/styles/operators.

KnitQuest:
Automated Production Scheduling
Phase two of the KnitQuest triad, integrates our Automated Production Scheduling with Matrix’s MKMS. Unique to KnitQuest and the Textile Industry, is the ability of this combination to avert knitting from a machine experiencing delay, and automatically detouring production to output on a machine in current production, or necessitating activation of a machine currently not in use. If MKMS continues to find Machine A producing defective fabric (requiring corrective action), Automated Production Scheduling will be activated, shunting production to Machine B, ensuring on time production and delivery. KnitQuest will disengage and engage knitting in real-time, from anywhere on the globe, and management can view the production floor as one large ” family” tree, where the breaking of one limb, will trigger production to the next. And while Matrix will guarantee total production floor control, we’re not touching your ” family”; a comforting thought, knowing phase three of KnitQuest is Business Intelligence. The savings resulting from “real-time” circular knitting are incalculable, as is its effect on production, efficiency, and the general mill population (employees through machines). Automated Production Scheduling allows circular knitting to:

Phase three of KnitQuest, Business and Production Intelligence, completes the package, and brings circular knitting control full circle. Matrix engineers have definitely closed our logo’s dueling arrows with this offering, and allowed the company’s fifty years of circular knit control to remain well above our competition in the global marketplace. Intelligence introduces the term Dashboard, a technology allowing on-line reporting with the ability to drill down into the details on any given report, and export the information to other applications such as Excel. The ability to incorporate information from other systems and spreadsheets into the Dashboard information system is just one of many additions the software package offers. But Intelligence goes beyond simple historical data analysis, information from today and yesterday. The Dashboard takes you to tomorrow, allowing business simulations to be created from your company’s history.
